Role Overview:

They are seeking a motivated and experienced Millwork Shop Manager to lead and oversee their production operations. The successful candidate will ensure high-quality products, timely delivery, and efficient operations while maintaining a safe and positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:
  • Lead and manage production staff to ensure all projects meet customer demands and deadlines.
  • Provide exemplary leadership across key departments, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Supervise, evaluate, and provide feedback to shop employees.
  • Operational Efficiency:
  • Develop, oversee, and enforce processes across all production departments.
  • Plan, coordinate, direct, and optimize day-to-day operations to meet customers’ expectations.
  • Increase output, asset capacity, and adaptability while reducing waste and maintaining quality standards.
  • Implement modern manufacturing concepts to promote cost savings and quality.
  • Quality Control and Safety:
  • Maintain high-quality standards and controls in all phases of production, including raw materials, work in process, and finished goods.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Promote and ensure the health and safety of all employees.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace, ensuring safe operation of tools and equipment.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
  • Collaborate with project management, engineering, and other functions to achieve labor, material, cost, safety, and delivery objectives.
  • Partner with engineering to ensure accuracy of drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for smooth and successful manufacturing.
  • Support product design and development efforts to ensure success from concept to production.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Establish and monitor continuous improvement initiatives on KPIs for cross-functional/multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Evaluate and improve all phases of manufacturing operations with measurable results.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Operations Management or a relevant technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ Hands-on experience in leading a manufacturing operation, in custom millwork or similar environments.
  • Strong operational background with an understanding of engineering design.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Proficient in reading technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt and manage change effectively.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin is required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $35-$45 per hour
